WESTLAW NEXT Tip of the Week: Saving Research to Folders

WestlawNext® folders allow you to create a knowledge collection that increases in value over time so that you can stop reinventing the wheel each time you conduct research. When you save research in folders, it’s stored for the life of your subscription. In addition, you can save an unlimited number of documents, and once you’ve viewed a document and saved it to a folder, you can re-access it free for one year.
WestlawNext makes it easy to save your research to folders. Just follow the steps below.
Saving from Lists
Save documents to any folder from a list using the Save to Folder (
) button.
- Select one or more documents
- Click the Save to Folder button
- Choose a new or existing folder
- Click Save

Saving from Documents
Save documents you’re viewing to any folder using the Save to Folder (
) button.
- Click the Save to Folder button on the document toolbar
- Choose a new or existing folder
- Click Save

Drag and Drop into Your Project Folder
Save documents to your Project Folder using convenient drag and drop functionality. You can drag and drop document titles and linked citations.
